Much here is new – the suites, the technology, the name. What we want to preserve is older: the way of welcoming guests for which this valley has long been known for. No one is a host alone here, it is everyone you meet.

“We want a house that sets no rules for you – not even for breakfast. When your day begins, how it tastes and where it ends: that is yours to decide.”

  • We believe that peace and quiet are the real luxury.
  • We believe that the park is the largest room in the house.
  • We believe in breakfast whenever you like.
  • We believe that every suite should have a kitchen – and every kitchen the freedom never to be used.
  • We believe that good hosts know when they are needed – and when they are not.
  • We believe that good things have an origin – and a name.
  • We believe that the most sustainable house is the one already standing.
  • We believe that you can only offer tranquillity when you have it yourself.
  • We believe that a house must know its history before it can become something new.
  • We measure ourselves against these – every day, in every detail. And you are welcome to hold us to our word.

The beds, the kitchen, the pans, the Feuerring in the park. None was chosen by its catalogue price – and there is a reason behind every name.

A mill by the stream, bread was baked against the law, a brother raised his hand at an auction on Christmas Eve and a star that stayed for forty-one years. Seven chapters have been written – we are working on the eighth.

Four-hundred-year-old walls, electricity from our own roof, bread from the village baker. Most of this is no special initiative, simply the way things are built and done here.
