You can travel to this region for the food – many have done so for decades. Between Sasbachwalden, Baden-Baden and Baiersbronn, great kitchens, old distilleries and winemakers on south-facing slopes are clustered as closely as almost anywhere in the country. And this house helped write that story: the old Talmühle held its Michelin star for forty-one consecutive years.

A day of culinary pleasure here might look like this: the basket at your door in the morning, a Vesper platter at one of the seasonal wine taverns along the Wine Route at lunchtime, and a fruit spirit in the afternoon, tasted where it was distilled. In the evening, the choice is yours – our partner restaurant, the 1839Malerhaus in Achern, or your own hob with a menu prepared for you by our kitchen.
