A Trail for Little Legs
Some walks have children asking how much further only ten minutes in. This one begins with alpacas, crosses bridges and rocks and ends in a clearing with a playground.
Alpacas and a mill
You start at the Straubenhofmühle, just a few minutes from us by car. The alpacas are right by the car park and are usually the first stop. The old mill next door offers a glimpse into how people once worked in the valley.
Over rocks and roots
The path then follows the Wilde Sasbach upstream: over small bridge and alongside rocks, criss-crossing the gentle stream. Wet shoes are to be expected, and they are part of the fun.
Playtime at the top
A picnic area and playground are waiting for you in the clearing, where you are likely to stay longer than planned. The route returns at an easy pace through the woods to your starting point. Along the way is a schnapps fountain that stocks soft drinks too – refreshments for every age.
Good to know
Starts at the Straubenhofmühle, Bergstraße 2 – just a few minutes by car.
