A Trail for Little Legs
A Trail for Little Legs
Hiking
Some walks have children asking how much farther after ten minutes. This one is different: it begins with alpacas, crosses bridges and rocks, and ends in a clearing with play equipment.
Alpacas and an old mill
The walk begins at Straubenhofmühle, just a few minutes from us by car. The alpacas are right by the car park and are usually the first stop. The old mill next door offers an easy glimpse into how people once worked in the valley.
Over roots and rocks
The path then follows the Wilde Sasbach upstream: over small bridges, alongside rocks, now on one side of the water, now on the other. Wet shoes are to be expected, and they are part of the fun.
Playtime at the top
A picnic area and play equipment await in the clearing, where you are likely to stay longer than planned. The route returns at an easy pace through the forest to the starting point. Along the way is a schnapps fountain that also stocks alcohol-free drinks: refreshment for everyone, whatever their age.
