The Achertal Panoramic Loop
The big loop follows the heights around the valley, skirts the national park and climbs towards Hornisgrinde – at 1,164 metres the highest peak in the northern Black Forest.
The climb
The route adds up to around 1,500 metres of ascent. You do not have to manage all of that with your own power: the circuit is very manageable by e-bike, with charging available along the way, including at Grinde-Hütte at the top.
To the top and back again
Mummelsee is worth a pause. The descent brings you home to Sasbachwalden on forest tracks, with yellow signs guiding you all the way to our front door.
Good to know
We are happy to arrange e-bikes for you. Charging points are available along the route; the Hochstraße is often closed in winter.
