The ideal first loop for anyone looking for trails: up over the Bienenbuckel, past the chapel on the Blosenkopf, with views along the way that make you dismount without meaning to.
Up through the vines
The climb begins among the vineyards and leads into the forest. Eight hundred and fifty metres of climbing spread over thirty-two kilometres: manageable, without it becoming painful.
The views from above
Annaruhe, Jockeleguck, a viewpoint with a bench and a window frame above the vines: the names are not recent inventions; they have been here for generations. The view reaches across the Achertal and out towards the Rhine plain.
