Hiking
Up to the Hörchenberg
Our shortest loop also offers the greatest reward with every step: up through the vines to views across the Rhine Valley – and, on clear days, as far as the Vosges.
The climb
The path climbs steadily through the vineyards, past the Gaishöll waterfalls. Two hours, technically easy – only your breathing quickens.
At the top
At Hörchenberg, the path levels out and the view opens to the west. Set out in the late afternoon and you will see the sun hang right above the plain. There are benches here, and no one is in a hurry.
Good to know
Early morning and late afternoon are the best hours. Hiking maps and personal recommendations are available at reception.
