Up to the Hornisgrinde
Cycling
The big tour: from the valley to the highest mountain in the northern Black Forest and back again. Sixty-four metres of climbing per kilometre: those who enjoy that know what awaits them.
The long climb
More than eleven hundred metres of climbing accumulate, first beside the stream and then up through the forest. The Grinde-Hütte is worth a stop. Up here, the landscape is different: open heathland instead of fir trees.
Summit and tower
At the top stand the Grindeturm and the wide-open view. On clear days, you can see the Vosges and, with a little luck, the Alps. The descent is your reward.
Afterwards
Back at the Maison: the sauna, the panoramic pool, and in the evening, one call is all it takes to have dinner brought to your suite. After this tour, nobody wants to cook.

Good to know: For experienced riders. The route starts in Oberachern. In winter, the Schwarzwaldhochstraße is often closed; please ask us before setting off.
