The Wine Legends Tour

Every slope here has a story, and this tour gathers them together: vineyard hillsides, old farmsteads, a climb worth making and a schnapps fountain along the way.

The first section runs level beside the water, on exactly the kind of cycle path you hope to find: a dedicated surface, no traffic and views of the vines.

Then the route heads upwards, and decisively so. At the top, you are rewarded with a view that many people make a special journey to see. On an e-bike, the climb remains a pleasure.

At Oberes Eck stands one of the fountains found only in this area: fine spirits on a self-service basis, paid for using the honesty box. We recommend a restrained tasting before the return ride.
